Tuesday, July 28
The week kicks off with a packed Tuesday. At Mystic Lake Amphitheater, the Black Crowes and Whisky Meyers are playing—with tickets available for just 75 cents, which is too good to pass up. For something more intimate, head to the Cedar Cultural Center for a free outdoor show? Actually, Taiga plays Wednesday, but Tuesday also offers Allen Stone at the Dakota, plus numerous smaller gigs at venues like Amsterdam, Bunker’s, and Icehouse. Open mic nights at Acadia and karaoke at Eagles 34 provide plenty of opportunities to participate.
Wednesday, July 29
Wednesday is particularly rich. The standout is Logan Richardson’s three-night residency at Berlin. The genre-bending alto saxophonist is collaborating with local musicians Omar Abdulkarim, Kavyesh Kaviraj, and Kevin Washington, with bassist Melvin Gibbs joining later. Dubbed “part concert, part installation, and part social practice,” this event promises a unique immersive experience. Another must-see is Taiga at the Cedar Cultural Center—a duo from Mongolia and Xinjiang who blend traditional Tuvan throat singing with electronic dub. For country fans, Chris Stapleton plays Mystic Lake Amphitheater. Meanwhile, Olivia Dean performs at Target Center, and DakhaBrakha, the Ukrainian folk quartet, has a two-night run at the Dakota starting Wednesday.
Thursday, July 30
Thursday continues the Logan Richardson residency at Berlin. The list also includes solo singer Laura Hugo’s EP release at Icehouse, with support from Eldest Daughter and Jillian Rae. Country fans can catch a second night of Chris Stapleton. For rock lovers, Pert Near Sandstone plays Mears Park. The evening also features ML Buch with Lee Noble at the Cedar, and numerous other shows at venues like Day Block Brewing, 331 Club, and White Squirrel.
Friday, July 31
Friday is another big night. The Logan Richardson series wraps up at Berlin, with Sophia Eris also performing. The Dakota hosts Robert Earl Keen for a three-night stand (Friday through Sunday). At the Hilde Performance Center, Brett Young, Ashley McBryde, Rodney Atkins, and Matt Stell headline a country bill. For classical/jazz fusion, Chris Thile teams up with the Minnesota Orchestra at Orchestra Hall. And at the Fine Line, Tyler Braden brings his country-rock energy. For a dance party, “Hot in Herre” at First Avenue will keep you moving.
Saturday, August 1
Saturday is jam-packed. The biggest event is Nershfest ’26 at 56 Brewing, featuring Reptar, Mae Simpson, the People Brothers Band, and General B & the Wiz. Named after String Cheese Incident guitarist Bill Nershi, this festival started as a backyard party 14 years ago and has grown into a community staple. Also on Saturday, Adrian Younge—a founder of the Jazz Is Dead collective—performs at Indeed Brewing. His five-piece group includes singer Loren Oden, blending psychedelic soul and jazz. The Rondo Block Party takes place at Rondo Commemorative Plaza, celebrating the neighborhood with food, local vendors, and performances by the Bossy Barbie Dollz Dance Team, Charles Foster, and others. The Armory hosts O.A.R., Gavin DeGraw, and KT Tunstall. Robert Earl Keen continues at Dakota, and Chris Thile plays a second night with the Minnesota Orchestra.
Sunday, August 2
Sunday offers a slower but equally diverse slate. Robert Earl Keen wraps up his run at the Dakota. Chuck Prophet performs at the Parkway Theater. For hip-hop fans, Nur-D plays at Hewing Hotel. The 331 Club hosts the Brass Messengers and Dan Schwartz. And if you’re craving bluegrass, there’s a monthly jam at Caydence Records & Coffee, plus Yuasa Exide and others playing there.

Monday rounds out the week with Kesha at Mystic Lake Amphitheater and Suki Waterhouse with Charlotte Lawrence at the Palace Theatre.
